Letter from Bob Flagor-Candidate For KSSWCD Supervisor

The contest for Kootenai-Shoshone Soil and Water Conservation District (KSSWCD) is entirely overlooked by the Kootenai County Democrats. I understand, because it is a non-partisan race. Unfortunately, it has not been overlooked by the Kootenai County Republicans. The KCRCC has recruited a slate of candidates that I can only assume is an attempt to take control of the board of supervisors, exactly like they did with NIC. I have been reluctant to enlist the aid of the Democrats, because I am registered unaffiliated. Our conservation district has been apolitical since 1941, and I hope to keep it that way. That said, I am concerned about the KCRCC sweeping the elections, so I would like to reach out to you to inform you of this important race. I have attached the KCRCC questionnaire, which they did not published along with the responses from their endorsed candidates, for comparison. You can find those responses at the KCRCC website. This election may determine natural resource conservation as it affects Lake Coeur d’Alene, the Coeur d’Alene River, local farming and forestry, open space, and every other living thing.

Thank you, Bob.
