The KC Dems Club bylaws require fifteen dues paying members to constitute a quorum to vote on any issue. However, given all the challenges during the COVID shutdown and recovery period, collecting dues was not our priority. Instead, we focused on keeping people connected and involved when in-person meetings were discouraged or prohibited. Thankfully, with the help of Ruben, we were able to remotely deliver interesting presentations over Zoom during those uncertain times.
Now that life has returned to a sense of normalcy, we invite our members to help the club refill its coffers by paying your annual dues. Paying dues helps the club sustain itself and it gives you voting rights. Click here to Make Your Contribution online or mail a check to Phil Ward, 601 E Front Ave, #804, CDA, Idaho 83814. Please make any check payable to the Kootenai County Democratic Club.
Our next steps will be to decide how often to meet, as well as a day and time. We also need to select a venue for our meetings and discuss how to accommodate online attendance.
This is an opportunity to grow. So, let’s use it to expand our reach to future generations and get them involved. The goal is to grow as a club, expand our community outreach, and stay relevant in these current times.
A small group is currently meeting to review options and make changes to grow our reach in Kootenai County. If you have input, please send your suggestions, comments, and officer nominations to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Let’s work together to connect and engage for a more caring community!
