Are you tech savvy? Do you have a tablet or smartphone with an unlimited data plan? Can you serve as a volunteer on Election Day, November 3? If you can answer these questions in the affirmative, please consider serving as a poll watcher.  As a poll watcher you would:

  • Observe the conduct of the election at a specific polling place on behalf of the Idaho Democratic Party.
  • Be seated near the receiving clerk so that you could hear them announce who has voted.
  • Use a poll watching tool to enter a tracking code as relevant voters are announced. This info will be relayed back to the Party to help track votes.

Ideally, we need people who can work through the entire Election Day. However, if you can only work a half day, we could put you to work on a morning or evening shift. To volunteer, complete the Idaho Dems online Poll Watching Volunteer Sign Up form. The deadline to submit names to the County Clerk is 5pm on October 22nd so sign up now.

Poll watcher training will be held the week before the election. The time and date of the training will be announced later to those who volunteer.

If you cannot poll watch, please consider joining our dinner brigade. This volunteer group will assist with bringing meals to our poll watchers as needed throughout election day. If you can serve in this way, contact us and let us know you can help.

If you have any questions about poll watching, contact Elle at 208.860.9211.
