Your generous giving contributed to the success of our annual food drive. First, we would again like to thank the KC Dem community for their incredible generosity. Every time we put out the call to help our local food banks you responded. Thanks to you, we are helping provide for our friends and neighbors in need. It is so gratifying to see our KC Dem values at work. The combined collections garnered 1600 pounds of food and $2600 in donations for the CDA and Post Falls food banks.
The desire to give is contagious. For example, one woman brought her young granddaughter with her to the collection point. The young woman was so moved that she gave us a $20 donation!
Many of you thanked us for organizing and volunteering for the event. Believe me, it was a pleasure. Whether you were giving or receiving, it feels good to know you are helping our communities.
We’d also like to thank the CDA and Post Falls Park Departments for allowing us to use their lots as our “drive-thru” collection points.
