Workers Memorial Day
April 28th is Workers Memorial Day. The Idaho State Legislature officially recognized this commemoration on April 28, 2000. As an international day of remembrance and action, it honors workers killed, disabled, injured or made unwell by their work. Since the last Workers Memorial Day, ten Idaho workers were killed on the job or died due to workplace exposure.
The Northern Idaho Central Labor Council invites you to join them in dedicating the future site of the Worker’s Memorial Monument. The ceremony takes place on Saturday, April 28 at the Coeur d’Alene City Park. The event will begin at 5 PM. It will move to the Human Rights Education Building in the event of poor weather. All are welcome to attend.
