In the wake of the tumultuous Kootenai County Republican Central Committee town hall on February 22nd, Bonner County Democrats will host a panel discussion in Sandpoint to address citizens’ concerns about their rights at public events.
The panel on civic engagement will include Sandpoint Police Chief Corey Coon, civil rights lawyer Dana Bowes of North Idaho Law Group, and the Peacekeepers’ Eldon Renner.
They will explain your rights to speech at public events, your rights to personal safety at these events, and what to do to ensure that others’ rights are upheld as bystanders.
All members of the public are invited. Please come and bring your questions. For those who prefer to keep their questions anonymous, you can write them on an index card, and we will collect them and hand them to the moderator.
