A Benefit for the Kootenai County Foodbank
Because the Kootenai Democrats believe in charity and public service, we invite our friends to support a Show Case of Talent–A Benefit Concert. The concert is fundraiser for The Community Action Partnership (CAP) foodbank. Most importantly, it will raise money to provide 1600 needy families with the ingredients to produce a traditional Thanksgiving Dinner. The show not only includes a fantastic roster of local talent but also a special presentation of The Red Hot Mamas’ 2017 Macy Thanksgiving Day Parade routine. In addition, an original painting by Mike Bolan will be raffled. Not only is Mike an accomplished artist, he is also the show’s director and an original member of The Fabulous Shadows. Tickets are $25. Purchase them by calling 208-667-1865. Or buy them online or at the Kroc Center. So come to the Kroc this Friday. You will have an enjoyable time while helping to support a worthy cause.
The Community Action Partnership
The Community Action Partnership (CAP) is a Community Action Agency (CAA). CAA is a nationwide network of private non-profit and public organizations. Their mission is to address the causes and conditions of poverty at the local level. CAP serves the 10 northernmost counties in Idaho plus Asotin County in Washington. The Show Case of Talent benefits the Kootenai County Food Bank’s Thanksgiving dinner distribution!
The Salvation Army Kroc Center
The Coeur d’Alene Kroc Center offers an “array of education, sports, faith, arts and supportive programs”. It includes a center of worship, a health and wellness center and facilities for special events. In addition to hosting the benefit concert this Friday, the Kroc Center is staging a Families Feeding Families Thanksgiving Food Drive. The purpose of this Giving Campaign is to collect food and financial donations. These contributions will also be used to supply holiday meals for those in need.
