We have a very important and topical program on September 4.
As we all know, there is escalating gun violence in the US and our government is either incapable or unwilling to do anything about it beyond never ending “thoughts and prayers”. In this dysfunctional environment there is one organization that is stepping up and acting responsibly. Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense has nearly 6 million volunteers nationwide and is a nonpartisan, grassroots organization fighting to protect people from gun violence.
Nick and Alice Arambarri will speak about the recent Moms Demand Action conference in DC and the plans and goals of this organization. They also will discuss current issues in both Congress and our State Legislature regarding gun sense legislation.
We hope you can join us for this informative and important evening. The program begins at 6:30, but please arrive about 6:00 to get a seat and order dinner/drinks if you wish. We finish at 8:00. The venue is Seasons of Cd’A restaurant.
Please RSVP to Steve Moss so we can give Seasons an accurate count.
