Paula Neils Steals the Show!
Paula Neils served the Kootenai County Democratic Central Committee for nine years as Chairperson. Consequently, to honor her service, we are throwing a party at the Art Spirit Gallery in Coeur d’Alene. The Kootenai Democrats invite you to come enjoy wine, appetizers, friends and a few speeches to pay tribute to her exemplary work. Paula’s volunteer service, in managing all aspects of our local party organization over the past decade, has been a true blessing. So bring your smiling faces and join us as Paula Neils steals the show!
An Exemplary Leader
Paula’s tenure as Central Committee Chair is a model of quiet and competent leadership. During her nine year’s of service, she dealt with an attempt by fake democrats to infiltrate the Central Committee. In addition, she faced the challenges of raising money in difficult economic times. But most importantly, she competently managed the day to day challenges of coordinating meetings and building consensus among a very diverse membership. Through it all, she always maintained her calm and organized manner.
In addition to her steady leadership, Paula was ever present at Democratic functions. You could find her at the Democratic Club luncheons, Progressive Diners meetings, Women’s Association functions, and State Party activities. In addition, she not only attended our many fundraisers, she willingly donated to our many causes. Whatever she did, it was done with a cheerful and positive attitude. She never complained and always had the best interests of the Democratic Party in mind.
The Kootenai Democrats are very grateful to Paula for her selfless dedication to our local Party. Not only that, we celebrate her exemplary example of principled leadership. Therefore, it is no wonder that the Kootenai Democrats honored her with the Art Manley Lifetime Achievement Award at the 2015 North Idaho Democracy Dinner. It is hard to think of someone who is a more deserving member of our community.
