To explore the topics of equity and economics in education, we will have three panelists and subjects:
* A look at Full Day Kindergarten with Dr. Steven Cook, Superintendent of the Coeur d’Alene School District
* Local economic impact studies of daycare and preschool costs on families with Keri Stark, Community Impact Director of United Way of North Idaho
* Information about the upcoming March 10th Supplemental Levy vote with Traci Hanks of Coeur d’Alene Education Partnership
Public participation is highly encouraged – so feel free to bring your questions, life experience, and community concerns. We especially encourage those with children to attend!
A childcare activity with a trained early childhood educator is available at the Children’s Library craft room. The League of Women Voters will provide voter registration and vote by mail forms at the event.
