Kootenai County Medicaid For Idaho
The Kootenai County Medicaid for Idaho team is gathering at Cory English’s home, nestled in the Coeur d’Alene Place neighborhood near Bluegrass Park. Cory English is a District 4 Idaho Senate candidate. Cory is a physical therapist and believes strongly that Idaho should expand Medicaid to the 78,000 people who need access to care.
As a team, we will canvass the neighborhood for signatures of registered voters. We believe this is a service to the community as there are many who wish to sign the petition, but just haven’t been connected with a petition circulator. Our past events have been very successful and we always have FUN. At least two Notary Publics will be available, so bring in your completed petitions. Never door knocked before? We have strong door knockers that are happy to walk with you and teach you their methods.
We will have some delicious, homemade soup and bread to warm us up! Feel free to bring friends and a snack or drink to share.

Volunteers all over Idaho continue to crisscross the state to raise awareness and collect signatures to expand Medicaid for those without alternative access to affordable healthcare. Currently, 78,000 Idahoans are living in a healthcare gap. In other words, they were too poor to qualify for Obamacare and not poor enough to receive Medicaid. Ironically, a solution to this problem has been available which allows Idaho legislators to receive help from the federal government to close the gap while saving state and local dollars. Unfortunately, we must force them to force them to act. Therefore, we are collecting signatures to put this issue to a vote on the 2018 General Election ballot.,
