Kootenai Environmental Alliance: Earth Day Celebration

Earth Day is back! After a two-year hiatus, we are once again joining other community organizations to celebrate and focus our loving attention on our precious planet.

The Coeur d’Alene Area Earth Day Celebration is on Saturday, April 23rd. This is the day after the actual Earth Day which is always on April 22. The official Earth Day always coincides with the first Earth Day Celebration which took place on April 22, 1970. Our Saturday Earth Day activities begin at 10 am and continue through 2 pm.

When you visit the event, be sure to stop by the KC Dems Earth Day Educational booth. It will feature fun activities for the kids including a prize drawing. The winner receives an endangered “plush” animal and a couple of related books. For the grownups, we will offer voter registration and absentee ballot request forms.

The event takes place on the lower level of the Coeur d’Alene Public Library located at 7th and Front in downtown Coeur d’Alene. There will be booths inside the library and outside along the lower level of the library grounds. This is the area which borders the east side of McEuen Park. We hope that you will bring the whole family for a day of fun and community!
