KEA Art of Nature Day Camp
The Kootenai Environmental Alliance invites parents or guardians with children in grades 2nd to 6th to sign them up for KEA Art of Nature Day Camp. This 6th annual day camp celebrates the theme “Underwater Adventure”. Kids will enjoy 5 fun filled days of art, science and nature activities. During the camp, children learn and reinforce the nature themes of the day. The camp starts on July 16 and runs through July 20. The daily schedule is 9AM to 3:30PM at the North Idaho College Children’s Center in Coeur d’Alene.
The camp features teaching artists Genevieve Pintor, Jill McFarlane and others staff. Together, they will connect art with nature projects to bring an interdisciplinary experience to deepen your child’s knowledge and bond to our natural world.
Base camp is the North Idaho College Children’s Center. However, the camp includes local excursions. For example, kids will visit the Community Roots Gathering Garden, the City Beach, and The Space art studio. Sites are chosen to engage the campers in art and science activities.
