KCDem Club: George Saylor–Tubb’s Hill

George SaylerTubbs Hill sets peacefully overlooking Lake Coeur d’Alene.  Each year primarily during the warmer months her trails are occupied by locals and visitors capturing the majestic views across the lake or simply enjoying the natural wonder that is Tubbs Hill.  An easy walk from downtown it can be enjoyed by most anyone.  I have wondered how this natural splendor has remained essentially undeveloped.  I know that thanks to people like George Sayler and Mary Lou Reed, Tubbs Hill has been saved for the community to treasure.  How ironic the people most concerned about the natural beauty in town are both Democrats.  If the beauty of this area and CdA are a reason for your living here then this may be the one luncheon you would be foolish to miss.
Our guest speaker on May 10th is former Idaho State Representative, Coeur d’Alene High School history and government teacher and member of the Tubbs Hill Foundation, George Sayler.  Mr. Sayler will be talking about the natural wonder that is Tubbs Hill.
Friday, noon, May 10, at the Iron Horse on Sherman learn about Tubbs Hill with George Sayler.  This will be more than just informative and will give more meaning to this part of the natural beauty of our community.  Come early and bring a friend maybe even a non-Democrat friend.  This isn’t about politics.  It’s about our community.
