Executive Director Rebecca Schroeder of Reclaim Idaho will update us on the ongoing court fight regarding the
Invest in Idaho ballot initiative. This initiative is an effort to increase investment in Idaho’s K-12 public schools. If successful, it would generate more than $170 million in additional funding. Like they did for Medicaid Expansion in 2018, volunteers for Reclaim Idaho were gathering the needed signatures to qualify this initiative for inclusion on the 2020 General Election ballot. Unfortunately, the signature drive was interrupted by the coronavirus lock down and has been held up ever since. In fact, despite court approval to use online signature gathering, the Governor and Secretary of State are appealing the U.S. District Court’s decision. Join Rebecca online this Friday, July 17 at 12 PM for the latest on this ongoing issue.
