Friday, June 2 Update
We may be taking time off for the summer, but we are not disconnecting, and neither should you. So, please plan to join us at our first in-person summer social. This will be the first social of our summer hiatus. We are planning to hold various in-person gatherings over the summer. While the Club is idle, we will keep you advised of various updates and general info through our weekly emails and Dem Club posts. You can also find updates on the Dems Club website.
Dem Club Summer Social
Friday, June 23rd, 2023, from 6 to 8 PM at the home of Phil Ward. For directions, contact Rubin or Phil.
This is an opportunity to strengthen ties and just hang out and socialize. This is a wonderful opportunity to renew friendships disrupted by Covid and meeting over Zoom. So, come get back together.
Friday, May 26 Update
As announced last week, the Club is on break for the summer. However, we still intend to get together. So, please mark your calendar for our June Summer Social. It is Friday, June 23rd, 2023, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. We will meet at the home of Philip Ward. You can discuss politics if you like or focus on other topics. So, come to the social and renew friendships that have been long separated by Covid and Zoom. For directions, contact Rubin or Phil.
Friday, May 19 Post
Ruben Miranda, the Dems Club President, announced that the club is taking a summer hiatus. This pause only applies to our Friday noon meetings. However, we will be scheduling periodic evening get-togethers, to discuss ways to improve the club, as well as to socialize. These summer socials should be fun events and a great way to strengthen the ties between us. Your ideas or suggestions on ways to promote greater outreach and participation would be welcomed.
We will resume our weekly meetings right after Labor Day, hopefully both in person and using zoom. That way we can maximize participation and hopefully develop greater support for the November elections.
Until then, we will continue to send an email each week with updates on activities including the details of our social gatherings. The details for our June social will be coming soon.
If you have questions, concerns, or suggestions please feel free to send them to Rubin or Phil.
Please stay connected.
