KC Dems Club: Senator Chloe Maxmin

The Kootenai Dems Club will watch an interview with Chloe Maxmin. In 2018, Maxmin was elected to serve in the Maine House of Representatives, becoming the first Democrat to win a rural conservative district in her state. Two years later, she was elected to the Maine Senate, becoming the youngest female state senator in Maine’s history.

Maxmin and her campaign manager authored a book mapping out her successful campaign and the tactics that worked for her. They discuss their work from campaign signs to door knocking. She discusses the feeling of entering a yard seeing a pickup truck with a Trump bumper sticker. What do you do when the door opens? Sounds like a campaign that could be here in Idaho. The interview may help a candidate and a campaign worker understand how she managed these situations.

Join the KC Dems Club this Friday, April 26 at noon, online for a video and any discussion about campaigning and winning as a Democrat in a red state. Feel free to invite a friend or two.

Social Update

The Wednesday, April 17, in-person social was a fun event. It drew a great crowd of over fifty people including first timers. It also featured some of our local candidates as well. Do not worry if you missed it. We will be scheduling another social soon. Watch our weekly email for updates.
