Normally, the Kootenai County Democrat’s Central Committee Meeting occurs on the second Wednesday of each month. However, in March, this monthly meeting will be delayed one week. It takes place on the third Wednesday, March 16, at 6PM over Zoom. If you would like to participate and do not have the link, please contact Cindy Algeo.
The KCDCC serves as the governing arm of Kootenai County Democrats. Its main purpose is to recruit and support candidates for public office. The Central Committee consists of individual precinct captains. Precinct captains are ordinary people who make up the foundational governing structure of the Democratic Party. Precinct captains work to identify and organize Democrats in their assigned precinct. They work collectively to turn out votes to elect Democrats to public office. The body operates under Robert’s Rules of Order.
