The KCDCC serves as the governing arm of Kootenai County Democrats. Its main purpose is to recruit and support candidates for public office. The Central Committee consists of individual precinct captains. Precinct captains are ordinary people who make up the foundational governing structure of the Democratic Party. Precinct captains work to identify and organize Democrats in their assigned precinct. They work collectively to turn out votes to elect Democrats to public office.
