The University of Idaho offers various programs as part of its U of I Extension Program. The Extension provides reliable, research-based education and information to help people, businesses and communities solve problems, develop skills, and build a better future. The Extension program areas include Youth Development, Community Development, Food Production Systems, and more.
Joining the Democratic Club this week is Teresa Balderrama. She is the Associate Extension Educator for the Extension’s 4-H Youth Development program area. Teresa provides leadership for various aspects of day-to-day 4-H operations in Kootenai County.
Join Teresa this Friday at noon online to learn how 4-H helps youth understand and acquire the skills to become leaders.

About 4-H Youth Development
4-H Youth Development teaches citizenship through several different programs. By providing opportunities to connect to their communities and work with adult leaders, youth gain a clear understanding of their role in civic affairs and improve their decision-making abilities.
