About Rudy Soto
Rudy may be new to you, but he is not new to Idaho. In fact, he has a long history here. Born and raised in Nampa, Idaho, Rudy is a member of the Shoshone-Bannock Tribes of the Fort Hall Reservation. He is also the son of a Mexican immigrant. In addition, he is the first person in his family to graduate from college. Rudy is also a member of our armed services. He proudly served his country as a soldier in the U.S. Army National Guard. His commitment to public service also includes work as a congressional staffer in Washington, D.C. From his work on Capitol Hill, he became the legislative director for the National Indian Gaming Association. Now, Rudy is ready to bring his passion for public service back to Idaho, by serving in the United States House of Representatives.
Rudy’s familiarity with public policy and his close ties to Idaho working families will serve the people of Idaho well. He believes there is more that unites us than divides us, and he will work to bridge those gaps. He is dedicated to working with people from all backgrounds to solve the everyday problems each of us face. Rudy invites you to join him in the fight to create greater opportunity and equity for all in Idaho’s First Congressional District.
