Given how things are going it may seem likely that we are close to losing our Democracy. Yet, walking away or giving up is not an option. This week’s Dem Club meeting opens with a pre-recorded discussion between video journalist Johnny Harris and New York Times political reporter Michelle Cottle. Their conversation explores the question of “The Real Threat to Democracy” and unpacks the hidden reality behind the rhetoric. After this video presentation, there will be an open group discussion. Thanks to Paula Marano for bringing this informative video to my attention.
Join the Democrat Club this Friday at noon online for a close look at various coordinated efforts by the GOP to undermine our elections and by extension our Democracy.
Reminder: Over the summer, we announced our intention to get in-person club gatherings going again. I assure you that we will hold to this intention. Our first in-person meeting takes place next week.
