Victor McCraw is a Democrat running for Ada County Sheriff. He is a peace officer with 32+ years of law enforcement experience including over 10 years serving as a senior/executive leader and agency head. He is challenging incumbent Matthew Clifford in a special general election in the Ada County General Election on November 8, 2022.
Like Kootenai County, Ada County is experiencing rapid population growth. This unprecedented regional expansion presents an immediate opportunity to reframe Ada County’s approach to county law enforcement. McCraw’s approach is based on the use of effective evidence-based strategies. He wants to collaborate with community partners to improve public safety and to safeguard the rights of every citizen. McCraw believes that responding to this opportunity requires prudent and responsive enforcement of laws. Moreover, it must be conducted in a manner which vigilantly safeguards the persons, property, and quality of life of Ada County residents and visitors.
Victor McCraw is travelling around the state to raise awareness about his campaign. Join Ada County Sheriff candidate McCraw at the Democratic Club this Friday at noon, online to learn about his informed approach to law enforcement.
