As you know, the holiday season is now in full swing. What might surprise you is that the 2022 campaign season is also getting underway. To kick off the 2022 election drive, we welcome Attorney Terri Pickens-Manweiler. Last August, Terri announced her candidacy. She is running as a Democrat to serve as Idaho’s Lt. Governor.
Her path to election will not come easily. In fact, there are already three high-profile Republican hopefuls running to challenge her in the November general election. Yet, she is undeterred. “These past few years have been hard for all of us and for our state and especially our country. It’s time for change.” Pickens-Manweiler also emphasized the need for unity, not division. “It’s time for healing and growing. And it’s time for new leadership,” she said.
Join Terri this Friday, December 3 at noon online for a discussion about her candidacy and her vision for Idaho.
Pickens-Manweiler identified as a Republican until 2016. However, she has switch parties and is now a Democrat. She has never run for partisan office.
“I am not a politician. I have never been a politician,” Pickens-Manweiler said in her announcement at the Anne Frank Human Rights Memorial in Boise. She is a business owner, volunteer, wife, and mother. “I’m running because I have a vision for Idaho, a vision of the Idaho I was born in, that I was raised in, and the Idaho where I chose to raise my children.”
