“Great victories in American politics have been achieved through coalition building,” Constitutional scholar and panel moderator David Adler said during the Kootenai County Democratic Central Committee’s Hijacking Democracy Symposium. We may not agree 100% with some of these new groups but we hold in common that together we can lower the political heat and seek a more temperate community.
This Friday the Democratic Club welcomes Rick Palagi, Chairman of Democrats and Republicans Together (DART). DART recruits moderate and centrist candidates for local races regardless of their political party. He will offer his perspective on recent shifts in the political winds and what to make of this changing paradigm. With the work of groups like DART, there is hope that reasonable people will set aside ideology in favor of the needs of our entire community.
Join the Democrats this Friday at noon, online for a look at the new groups forming to break the chains of political polarization in Kootenai County.
