KC Dem Club–on line: Music Conservatory of Cd’A

This Friday, the Dem Club is taking a break from politics. Instead, we will hear about a plan to convert the historic Hamilton House into the Music Conservatory of Coeur d’Alene. Julienne Dance is the director and visionary behind this project. She envisions a welcoming and supportive atmosphere where the magic of music can come alive to enrich the community. She and Zoe Ann Thurman will present the plan to upgrade the building and create a future home for the conservatory.

The Hamilton House is located at 627 N. Government Way. It was built in 1908 for Boyd Hamilton: the 2nd Mayor of Coeur d’Alene. Currently, there is a banner hanging from the front porch. It reads: “Let’s make this the future home of the Music Conservatory of Coeur d’Alene!” To achieve the goal of converting the 112-year-old mansion into a working music school, $61,000 of improvements will be needed. If you would like to help, there is a GoFundMe page to facilitate the fundraising effort. These funds will be used to convert this historic home into a functional conservatory.

Join the Dem Club this Friday for a overview of this special community project. When completed, this music school will offer high quality instruction in various instruments and disciplines to the youth of our community.

Ruben will distribute a Zoom link for this meeting on Thursday, July 23. If you do not receive the link, email him at rmiranda2265@gmail.com.
