KC Dem Club onLine: Mark Stambaugh–Water around the World

This Friday, Jan Stambaugh’s husband Mark will speak with us again. You may remember his 2020 presentation about his role as a volunteer for the area search and rescue patrol. This time, he will be speaking to us about the value of water not just as a commodity but as a vital resource we all depend on. Mark has witnessed firsthand what people face who live with serious freshwater constraints. He gained this experience through his annual trips to Nepal where he helped bring potable water to remote villages.

The fact is we are reaching a tipping point when it comes to global water scarcity. As a result, this topic affects all of us. Currently, strategic investors are seeing an opportunity and they are taking steps to buy up water rights. When Wall Street is investing, it is best we pay attention.

Join Mark this Friday for a discussion about the value and critical importance of water, and the current efforts to control access to it.
