
The Kootenai Democrats have packed this upcoming weekend with activities. First, the Democratic Club talks with two candidates for the Idaho State Legislature. Then, later in the evening, we will join fellow Democrats at our 2022 Democracy Dinner Gala featuring a keynote address by Idaho State Legislator Chris Mathias. Joining him at the event are many other state and local candidates. Then, on Saturday Sep. 24th at 11:00 AM there is a public symposium on Democracy, Extremism, and the Dobb’s Decision.
About this week’s Democratic Club
This Friday, September 23 we welcome Kristy Reed-Johnson and Larry Bieber. They are both running to serve in the Idaho House of Representatives.
Reed-Johnson is running to represent District 5A. She is on the ballot in the general election on November 8, 2022. She currently serves on the Budget & Policy Committee of the Kootenai County Aquifer Protection District where she Chairs of the Education & Outreach Subcommittee. Bieber is running to represent District 4B. Larry taught math and coached boys’ basketball, and girls’ softball at Coeur d’Alene High. He led the girls’ softball team to numerous state championship tournaments, and the boys’ basketball team to one as well. The All-North Idaho Boys Basketball Team voted him Coach of the Year in 1998. In addition, the Idaho Athletic Hall of Fame inducted him in 2016. You can email Larry at coachbieber4staterep.com.
