KC Dem Club: Mayor Widmeyer – Managing Growth

Managing Growth

Coeur d’Alene is growing. Moreover, the effects of this growth will impact everyone who lives in this great city. It also affects the people who choose to work and visit here. Handling traffic flow, provisioning city services, developing residential property, expanding parks and recreation and coordinating commercial expansion all take planning. That is why managing growth is our best hope for maintaining the quality of life we all enjoy. To understand the impact and implications of our city’s expansion, it is vital that we comprehend and support the vision the city government has developed to manage it. It helps us be better citizens. It also makes it easier to accept the inevitable change that follows.

That is why the club has invited Mayor Steve Widmyer to speak. He will highlight the challenges of managing change with an update of the Atlas Mill and the Memorial Grandstands developments. These projects and many others are part of the city’s Comprehensive Plan. Don’t miss this opportunity to find out what is happening in Coeur d’Alene from someone who knows the nitty gritty details. He will be here this Friday, so invite a friend and join us.
