About Idaho Business for Education

IBE is a group of nearly 200 business leaders from across the state. Working together with state educators, IBE members plan to transform Idaho’s education system. IBE members are working to create a highly educated and skilled workforce. One that strengthens the business climate and fuels a prosperous Idaho economy. Currently, Idaho faces a 19-25 percent “education gap”. The gap represents the difference between the education level of the current workforce and the one that will be needed in a few short years. Ultimately, the challenge will be to close the gap by creating a highly educated and skilled workforce possessing the technical talent required to allow state businesses to thrive in the 21st century.
