October 5 is the first day that the Kootenai County Clerk will mail Absentee Ballots to voters who have requested them. If you wish to receive an Absentee Ballot, you can fill out a request online or download a printable form from
IdahoVotes.Gov. In addition, you can complete the request process in person at the election office. No matter what means you use, please make sure that you fill out the form correctly. Also, if you are using the printable offline form, please return it as soon as possible by any of the following means: email, fax, mail, or hand delivery. Keep the deadline in mind if you are considering mailing it in. The Kootenai County Clerk must receive your request by October 23, no later than 5pm.
You can also check your voter record (this is where you can track you absentee ballot request) and update or submit your voter registration at idahovotes.gov.
Also, please note that Emergency Absentee Ballots applications may be submitted through 5pm on November 2 from those who cannot be present for voting due to hospitalization if hospitalization began after 5pm on October 23.
