Early Voting Access

If vote by mail has you worried, consider early voting at the election’s office. The early voting period starts on Monday, October 19, 2020 and continues through Friday, October 30, 2020. The Kootenai County Elections Office is open Monday through Friday from 8 AM to 5 PM. If you plan to vote early, remember to bring a Valid Photo ID. Also, if you have moved since the last election or if you are new to Kootenai County, be sure that your voter registration is complete and accurate. Also, if you have moved or you are a new resident, you may need to provide proof of residency. Valid proof of residency can be any mail addressed to you with your current address listed, that is dated at least 30 days prior to the current voting date. Be sure to bring an example with you when you vote. If you do not have a Valid Photo ID or you forget to bring it, you can still vote by signing a Personal Identity Affidavit.

Otherwise, if you reside in Kootenai County year round and your schedule permits, you always have the option of  voting on election day at your designated polling place. However, please act responsibly and wear a protective face covering. You can use this online tool to Find Your Polling Place.
