Democratic National Convention

The 2020 Democratic National Convention will be held in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, August 17-20, 2020.  Party delegates will choose the Democratic nominee for President and Vice-President.  The presumptive candidate at this point is Joe Biden.  He will need 1991 votes to win the nomination.

The convention not only gives committed democrats an opportunity to gather and celebrate, it also serves an important function. It is an opportunity to convey to the American people what the Democratic Party stand for. In addition to confirming the Democratic nominees for President and Vice President, delegates from across the country work to define and adopt the official Party platform.
