Democracy, Extremism, and the Dobb’s Decision

The Declaration of Independence: “We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.”

The Preamble to the Constitution: “We the People of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America.”

When asked what form of government had been adopted for the United States, Benjamin Franklin replied: “A republic—if you can keep it.”                        

Today, extremism threatens the continued existence of our democratic republic and the founding documents on which it stands.

You are invited to attend a free, public Democracy Symposium on Saturday, September 24th, at The Red Lion Inn, at Templin’s on the River, Post Falls, Idaho.

Two crucial panel discussions on critical issues which affect all Americans will be presented:

1pm -2:30 pm – Ramifications of the Dobb’s Decision
