Raising Voices in Collective Resistance

This Friday the Democratic Club welcomes​ Manda Bailey​,​ ​Founder of North Idaho NOW (National Organization for Women). Manda Bailey is currently a Behavioral Therapist and holds a B.S. in Health Science from Walden University. She has lived in Idaho for the past ten years.

Manda will be speaking about the plans N.I. NOW has for the community and the goals they have for the area. N.I. NOW is dedicated to a multi-issue and multi-strategy approach to women’s rights & education.

NOW chapters focus on six priority issues including reproductive rights, ending sex discrimination/constitutional equality, promoting diversity and ending racism, economic justice, stopping violence against women, and LGBTQIA rights. Their goal is to start non-judgmental conversations and actions surrounding issues in our community.

NOW is the largest organization of grassroots feminist activists in the United States, with hundreds of thousands of contributing members.
