Dem Club: KC Dems--a Look Ahead

New officers of the Kootenai County Democratic Central Committee, Shem Hanks, Chair, and Courtney Beebe, Vice-chair, as the new leadership of KCDCC, will offer an overview of the structure of the Kootenai Democrats leadership structure and a preview of the direction the organization will be heading in the coming year. Come with your questions and ideas for how we can serve the community and advance our policy ideas in our community.

Courtney Beebe, a fourth generation Idahoan and lifelong Democrat is a graduate of the University of Montana (history and philosophy) and University of Idaho (juris doctorate). Courtney currently holds a position as an Administrative Law Judge, Office of Administrative Hearings, Spokane.
Shem Hanks grew up in a double-wide trailer in Hayden, Idaho. In this humble environment his parents instilled in him values of faith, hard-work, honesty, social justice and equal opportunity for success. Shem graduated with two Bachelor’s of Arts Degrees in History from Eastern Washington University. Shem is the current Chairman of the Kootenai County Democratic Central Committee, former President, a current Trustee of the Kootenai County Democratic Club, and co-founder and treasurer of Idaho For Freedom.  This year Shem ran for the position of Idaho State House of Representatives.

Attention all Dem Club attendees:  The KC Dem Community Outreach Committee is sponsoring a month-long food drive for the local food bank. Community Action Partnership in Coeur d’Alene provides food assistance for local families year round. As part of our effort to support local entities that help folks in need, we will collect donations of food during the whole month of December. Bring your donations of canned food each Friday to the Dem Club Lunch through December 28. You may also contact Cathy Kraus at catk1994@gmail.com for questions or donations. If you’d rather make a cash donation, please give directly to CAP at 4144 Industrial Loop, Cd’A.
