As the Director of Operations for the Coeur d’Alene School District, Jeff Voeller oversees facilities and maintenance. He is also responsible for transportation, nutrition services, School Plus (before and after school care program), and bond and levy projects.
After 17 years in the area, Jeff considers Coeur d’Alene his home. Born in Seattle, he graduated from Western Washington University. His diverse career emphasized leadership and management. Upon graduation, he served as Operations Manager for a wilderness program and led high school and college aged youth on wilderness mountaineering and sea kayaking expeditions. While working for this non-profit, he acquired construction skills by working alongside the contractors who maintained the facilities. This experience led Voeller into a career in construction. He started out as a project manager for a residential builder but left during the 2008 construction decline. He then became a regional manager for a construction supply company. His strong construction and leadership background ultimately led him to the Coeur d’Alene School District. He joined the district in August, 2018.
Education and community involvement are of utmost importance for Jeff and his family. Jeff is a member of the Coeur d’Alene Sunrise Rotary, has served on the board of the North Idaho Building Contractors Association, and is currently on the NIC carpentry program advisory council.
Jeff and his wife Amy have 2 boys in the Coeur d’Alene School District, 4th and 7th grade. When not advocating for education, Jeff and his family can be found playing on Hayden Lake or exploring the mountains of North Idaho.
