An Evening with Cd’A Symphony and Garrison Keillor

Garrison Keillor

The Coeur d’Alene Symphony presents An Evening with Garrison Keillor and the Symphony on September 14, 2019, at 7:30 P.M.  This is the opening evening of the Remodeled Schuler Performing Arts Center on the North Idaho College Campus.

Garrison Keillor did “A Prairie Home Companion” for forty years, wrote fiction and comedy, and invented a town called Lake Wobegon where all the children are “above average.” He is embarking on national tour of benefit shows and reconnecting with his live audiences. Rich Dworsky, music director of his radio show, and Keillor’s long-time accompanist, will join him on stage. Keillor is paying his own expenses and donating his time and talents. All ticket sales go directly to the Coeur d’Alene Symphony.

Historically, the Symphony has been volunteer. Last season, special donations through patrons have made it possible to pay all of the musicians. Now, beginning its 41st Season, the second season with Artistic Director/Conductor, Jan Pellant, and with exciting and extended performances in the surrounding communities plus new youth education programs, the Coeur d’Alene Symphony is ready to grow.

The “Evening with Garrison Keillor” will ensure the financial stability to support the Coeur d’Alene Symphony’s growth.

Garrison Keillor will meet and greet 20 VIP ticket holders for a reception immediately following his performance. Tickets are in the first row, center orchestra of the theater and are available for a $500.00 donation to the Symphony for each (tax deductible). These special tickets are only available through the Symphony office at 208-765-3833 or on their website: cdasymphony.org

All other tickets, $35.00 to $75.00, are available through ticketswest.com, or at their outlets. Discounted student “Rush Tickets” will be sold an hour prior to the show.
