North Idaho College, Hedlund Building room 231
Registration deadline: 9/20 by 5 PM PT

The Activist Academy is a day-long training that covers community organizing, grassroots activism and advocacy. Lunch and snacks will be provided. All training is free and open to the public.
While we have limited spots for each training, we welcome folks with little or no experience in community organizing as well as seasoned community leaders. We encourage to apply people of color, women, people with disabilities, people excluded elsewhere because of religion, and people with marginalized sexual orientations or gender identities.
Our goal in adding more Activist Academy locations is to continue our efforts to provide more community education and outreach to areas and communities around Idaho that don’t have ample opportunities to attend ACLU events and trainings. Furthermore, we hope to lay the foundation for continued support and collaboration to better ensure that we can provide support in an informed, supportive manner—specific to individual communities.
We are excited to announce that the application for the 2019 statewide Activist Academy tour is now open for the Boise, Coeur d’Alene and Moscow training locations!
The Activist Academy is a day-long training where you’ll build expertise and knowledge around advocacy and grassroots activism to successfully mobilize on the issues that matter most to you and your community. Now that the application is open for Boise, Moscow and Coeur d’Alene, we hope you will share it among your local networks or with folks who you feel would be interested in in attending, particularly if you have attended an Activist Academy training in the past. The training is free and open to the public and we encourage those with little or no experience in Community Organizing to apply.
