As the Kootenai County Democratic Executive Committee, we raise our unified voice in thanks to Even Koch for his years of selfless leadership. We wish him the best as he resigns his chair role and redirects his talents toward supporting a new generation of civic-minded leaders.
Evan’s leadership is an example of our larger American experiment. America is more than just one man, one president, one party. Evan recognized that our strength lies in unity and understanding. In just five short years, he took our local party from a loosely affiliated group of like-minded people to a thriving political powerhouse. From precinct captains, to events planning, to communications, Evan has empowered people to bring their whole selves into leadership roles within the party.
Over the past years, and especially recently, our organization has expanded into a pillar of strength and community connection.
Kootenai County Democratic party volunteers bring a diverse set of opinions and backgrounds to this organization. From devoted Christians to Atheists, from fiery liberals to moderate independents, from all genders, backgrounds, and beliefs – we are one united party.
As we move into the next chapter of our organization’s story, Evan has positioned the party for continued success. We are strong because of the legacy he leaves, and we will continue to advocate for all Idahoans to have a place at the political table.
