Thanksgiving is Here

In recognition of this time of reflection and gratitude, I am listing things that we as Democrats can be thankful for.

First, the beautiful surroundings in which we live: the lakes, forests, and mountains revive and sustain us.

Second, the great legacy of the Democratic party. From our grassroots efforts such as the recent food bank donations to the recent federal legislative accomplishments, we have much to be thankful for. Moreover, through the years, it is Democrats leading the charge for enacting civil rights, voting rights, as well as social welfare programs like Medicare, Medicaid, Obamacare, Social Security. In other words, Democrats are the party responsible for the many good things the US government does for its citizens.

Third, every Democrat who gave their time, money, or expertise to our efforts this year. I am personally grateful for You for making it possible for me to do this job. Thank you.

And above all, our loved ones, our friends, and our great country.

On Thanksgiving, I hope you can enjoy a joy filled gathering that is for once, free of the politics that so often divide us.
