OUR GALA SOLD OUT
First, I am excited to report that we sold all the tickets to the 2025 Democracy Dinner Gala! This is great news and a welcome sign of life for our Democratic coalition. Thank you to our donors and volunteers (especially Laura Milks & Sarah Glenn) for making this event possible. Also, thank you to all of you who chose to share this evening with us. This is key fundraiser for the Kootenai Democrats, and we are grateful for the support. Moreover, thanks go out to our keynote guest, the Honorable Jim Jones. I look forward to seeing you all on Saturday, February 15th at the Best Western Plus Coeur d’Alene Inn.
WE MUST REMAIN FOCUSED
Don’t forget to text, email, and call your representatives in Congress and the Idaho Legislature. Senators Risch and Crapo as well as Representative Fulcher need to hear from us repeatedly. So, Take Action and tell them that Idahoans will not support a hostile takeover of our national government. The fact is that a considerable number of Trump’s executive orders are unconstitutional and likely to fail when scrutinized by the courts. Our calls and letters may not prevent his attempts at amassing power in the White House, but they might prevent him from defying the courts when they strike down his illegal edicts.
Reclaim Idaho does magnificent work tracking the bad actions of the Idaho Legislature’s Republican majority on their Facebook page. Please follow Reclaim Idaho and respond to their calls for action as well.
Idaho is a testing ground for the MAGA right’s plans to make America awful. If we voice our opposition loud enough, perhaps we can serve as a bulwark against this insidious political movement.
