We Are In this Together

Two weeks after the most impactful election in our lifetimes, there is a persistent feeling of demoralization and fear for the future. This nagging dread stems from the realization that America stands at the threshold of becoming a fascist state. It remains to be seen whether the next administration succeeds in implementing their draconian agenda and what it will mean for future generations.

Given this situation and our current malaise, perhaps it is best to reassure one another that we are in this together. To help lift our collective mood, I will share with you a sample of the reactions I got from our Executive Committee members.

“YES, everyone take care and reach out if you need something. We’re here for one another.”

“Know that I care and will do my best to support others and myself at these challenging times.”

“I hope you all do something that refills your drained cups. Take care of yourselves, and each other.”

“We will support each other๐Ÿ’”๐Ÿ’””

“I think it is a time for us all to grieve and overtime we will feel stronger and determined again.”

“I think folks will be especially hungry for community and will look to us to provide it. Strength in numbers.”

Given our collective mood, we are putting off our November Central Committee meeting. Instead, we will be putting our energies into planning a get together in December. So, keep an eye on our social media and on this page for details.

Hopefully, by then we will be able to celebrate the hope and optimism that characterizes Democratic Party values.

Take care all.
