Democratic Party Caucus

We are gearing up for the pivotal 2024 Idaho Democratic Party Caucus, and I encourage everyone to take part. It’s easy and can be done in person on May 23 at the Kootenai County Fairgrounds from 5 to 8 pm. If attending in person is not an option, you can caucus by absentee ballot through the mail. All the details are available at the Idaho Democrat’s website. You can also watch our Facebook page for updates as the caucus date approaches.

State Convention

I also urge you to attend this year’s Idaho Democratic Party Convention. It is scheduled for June 22-23 in Moscow, Idaho. The Convention presents a unique opportunity for us to come together, exchange ideas, and chart a course that reflects our shared values as Idaho Democrats.

Become a Delegate

All Democrats are welcome to attend, additionally you can become a voting delegate. The agenda will include activities for both groups.

As a delegate, you can influence crucial party matters. From refining our party platform to passing resolutions that address the pressing issues facing Idahoans, your voice matters now more than ever. Additionally, delegates will be vital in selecting our delegation to the 2024 Democratic National Convention in Chicago, ensuring that Idaho is well-represented on the national stage.

Whether you’re a seasoned activist or new to political engagement, IDP welcomes your participation. Your unique perspective and passion for progress are invaluable assets as we work towards building a brighter future for all Idahoans.

Candidates for delegates to the State Convention will be voted on at our Presidential Caucus on May 23rd. You can find out more information about this important process and sign up to run for a delegate spot on the KCDCC Facebook page no later than May 1st at 5 p.m. MT. We will follow up shortly with more details.

State Convention

Our state convention typically occurs in Boise, but this year the IDP responded to our requests to meet in North Idaho. Let’s seize this opportunity to make our voices heard and drive meaningful change within our party and beyond. Together, we can create a more inclusive, fair, and prosperous Idaho for future generations.

Remembering Fallen Union Laborers

Workplace safety will be the theme at the annual Workers’ Memorial this coming Sunday. At noon, labor union members and officials from the Department of Labor will gather at the Memorial in City Park to remember workers who died on the job during the past 12 months. In addition to the remembrance ceremony, there will be an acknowledgement of the new Kootenai County Democratic Central Committee tile that has been added onto the Memorial. Hope to see you there.
