There are only days left before our extraordinary 2023 Big Blue “Barbie”- Q aka the Big Blue Huckleberry Barbecue. Excuse the play on words, but I wanted to let you know that like the hit movie, we are expecting this evening to be a fun-filled event that you won’t want to miss. For example, Kerstin Pomerantz will share a humorous story about how she converted her yard into a “yarden” and saved her sanity. Plus, attendees will get a chance to bid on live and silent auction items, while enjoying live music and interactive games. And of course, there will be delicious food and a no host bar as well. This first annual Summer Gala takes place from 4-8:30 pm on Saturday, July 29 at Elk Point Events (AKA Stellas on the Hill.) Support West Bonner County School District

Several of you have contacted me wanting to help save the West Bonner County School District from the destructive efforts of the usual far right forces. A group of concerned citizens, including Democrats and others has formed a PAC titled “West Bonner County School District Recall Replace Rebuild” for this purpose. This non-partisan group looks to preserve public education in Bonner County. They need to raise $5500 to mobilize enough voters to Recall Keith Rutledge and Susan Brown in a special election slated for August 29. They are halfway to meeting their goal. If you want to help, go to their website to donate online. No matter how much or how little, it really can help. I just sent them $50.
