2018 North Idaho Democracy Dinner
The Kootenai County Democratic Central Committee invites you to attend the 2018 North Idaho Democracy Dinner, Thursday, May 10, 5:30 p.m., at the Red Lion Templin’s Hotel, 414 E. First Ave., Post Falls. The dinner features a keynote address, award presentations and a silent auction.
In addition to a lovely dinner and conversation, you will receive a moving keynote address by former Washington State Legislator and current Democratic Candidate for the WA State 5th Congressional District, Lisa Brown. Among her many accomplishments as a state legislator, she served as Washington State’s first female Democratic Senate Majority Leader. Brown currently serves as a Chancellor at WSU Spokane. She is campaigning to unseat incumbent Cathy McMorris Rodgers and replace her in the US Congress. Brown is up to the challenge and ready to bring her experience to the other Washington.
Following the dinner and keynote address, the Kootenai Democrats will present a distinguished member or couple with our annual Art Manley Lifetime Achievement Award. The award recognizes a life dedicated to community service consistent with the principles of the Democratic Party. In addition, there will be A Rising Star Award presented. We present this award to honor a new voice and presence in the Democratic community. We accept individual and couple’s award nominations through April 1. The awards and nominating criteria are described on our Awards page.
And finally, to add to your enjoyment, an enticing array of auction items will be available for bid during the dinner and keynote address.
The dinner entree is Tillamook Cheddar Chive Chicken. It will be accompanied by a side salad and dessert. If you have diet restrictions, please contact Cindy at kootenaicountydemocrats@gmail.
So what are you waiting for? You can get your tickets now for $50. Don’t put it off. The ticket price increases to $55 after April 27. You can also reserve a table for 8 for $500. These table reservations will insure that you are seated with your companions at a table closest to the stage.
